This set of essences was inspired by the study of the Kaballah, with Soul School's Advanced course on Archangels.  Each Sephira of the Tree of Life can be interpreted in a number of different ways, such as representing a different stage of life, a chakra, an aspect of character or personal state of being.  In general, the sephiroth at the bottom of the Tree relate to our physical presence on Earth; those at the top relate to our spiritual connection with All That Is.

Here are a couple of practical examples:  If you are worried about never having enough money, it would be useful to work with Sandalphon, to develop your trust in the abundance of the Universe.  If you are chasing your tail,& finding little reward, connect with Zadkiel, who will see your efforts are rewarded.

Suppose you know things aren't quite right, but you haven't been able to make the necessary changes, Michael would be able to help you find the courage to move forward.
